Sucking his fingertip

the babe floats down the river

safe in his blue egg.

This haiku is part of the Haiku Bombers project.

  1. This reminds me a bit of the myth of Moses floating down the river as a baby to be rescued, and then adopted by the Queen of Egypt. At the same time, the blue egg (as far as I can remember) is only seen in the robin, starling, and one type of American chicken. :D

    • “Typically, “Harpocrates is the Babe in the Egg of Blue that sits upon the lotus flower in the Nile”. He may be termed the ‘God of Silence’ and said to represent the Higher Self and be the ‘Holy Guardian Angel’ and more in similar vein, adapted from Aleister Crowley’s often-reprinted Magick.”

Via Wikipedia. More good info on Hoor Paar Kraat lives there, too.
